What do we do?
Cleveland Abbey supports wholeness and well-being for ministry leaders and communities by offering collaborative services from practitioners specializing in spiritual, mental and emotional health through retreats, events, groups and one-on-one care. We serve Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio region with collaborative, contemplative, embodied, and compassionate care.
Our story of collaboration…
Born out of the Kingdom Collective, we support the ecosystem of churches in Northeast Ohio by addressing needs many congregations cannot meet on their own. We believe each person is a unique creation requiring hand-crafted care in a variety of specialties. Our strength comes from both our specializations and collaborations. All care provided through the Cleveland Abbey will be centered on contemplative, trauma-informed, compassionate care from a whole-body approach.

Spiritual Direction is a non-judgmental and interpersonal relationship that creates space to grow in spiritual life. A Spiritual Director can help uncover and notice the move of God in your life. Our directors all hold to a shared Code of Ethics.

Counseling offers emotional and relational support for life’s ups and downs. Counselors can help develop skills for healing and health. Our therapists and any we refer to are licensed in the state of Ohio.

Coaches help individuals navigate the present and future to maximize their potential and reach goals. Through the lens of transformational leadership and spiritual development, you can discover your God-given purpose and potential. Our coaches are ICF Certified.

Cleveland Abbey practitioners collaborate to offer a variety of retreats that can be tailored to your spiritual, emotional, and relational needs. Retreats are available for staff, churches, small groups, teams, and more!

Group sessions are a great option for those seeking care in community. Most services offered can be tailored for a group setting.

Cleveland Abbey was birthed by church leaders, with the church and its leaders in mind. Our offerings fill a need that most churches cannot provide on their own, including non-judgmental space for pastors to find care for their own souls. We hope to serve churches and leaders of all sizes, backgrounds, and denominations.

We are aware that, for some, the church is not an appropriate space to pursue healing. Cleveland Abbey provides a safe, neutral space for healing from religious trauma and spiritual abuse.
